Cruz has been singing music forever (okay, since he was young). In his musical past he performed with a live band, and enjoyed singing karaoke recreationally. He enjoys and sings a wide variety of music types, but the blues remain his personal favorite. He is currently hosting Karaoke at the Fire Creek Grill & Alehouse
Cruz encourages singers to try new songs and has created “Skary-okie Thursdays” for just that purpose. In an easy going, encouraging environment, singers can try new songs on for size (or sound as the case may be) while feeling less self-conscious about doing it “right”. Since everyone is trying out new stuff, it makes it fun and safe to add new songs to your list or to discover the song you should never try again. Cruz’s motto is “Everyone knows 100 songs in the car but only sing 5 on the microphone…Try something new”.
In addition to singing and hosting Karaoke, Cruz enjoys, building, restoring and customizing hot rods. Cars have been his life long passion and he is always dreaming of new ways to make them faster and give them that “one of a kind” look.
